English Language Learners (ELLs) tend to struggle in class due to high demands of the curriculum and their language barrier. Teachers must carefully plan and implement effective research-based strategies to scaffold their learning.

In this professional learning, instructional strategies that are highly effective for ELLs will be introduced and modeled. These strategies, which have been differentiated by English language proficiency levels can be implemented to effectively teach the Common Core. Attendees will participate in various activities that demonstrate how to engage and motivate their English Language Learners.
