Addressing English Language Proficiencies during Common Core Implementation

In order for English Language Learners to successfully negotiate the complex demands of the CCSS, teachers must know how to address the varying English language proficiency levels when teaching the CCSS.

This professional learning will demonstrate how to make subject matter comprehensible maintaining the level of rigor while accelerating students’ language learning. Participants will learn how to differentiate lessons based on the various English language proficiency levels of the students. This will give teachers the experience needed to address the needs of the English Language Learners successfully.
